1987年11月、設立。
関連会社である、ロンドン・ベースの旅行会社ユーロ・ジャパン ホリデーズ（EURO-JAPAN HOLIDAYS）の販売促進を画し、月刊「ジャーニー」を1988年7月創刊。
「ジャーニー（Journey）」という名称にもかかわらず、旅行記事だけでは食べていけないことが早い段階から判明し、英国在住邦人のための総合情報誌として創刊号から現在の形態にほぼ近い形でスタート。

92年前後、ライバル月刊誌/紙「英国EIKOKU」「ロンドン便り」「ロンドンの暮らし」などが相次いで廃刊・休刊となるなど、不況真っ只中。「ジャーニー」も廃刊の危機に瀕しながら、なんとかもちこたえ今日にいたる。

98年3月。英国の日本語雑誌の中で、15年余りの歴史を誇る週刊新聞「英国ニュースダイェスト」に対抗し、週刊「ジャーニー」創刊。

英国のニュースを中心とした翻訳記事がウリモノの「ニュースダイジェスト」に対し、フジサンケイグループから購入した、日本のニュース・芸能・ゴシップ記事で勝負。加えて、英国のテレビ５チャンネルの１週間のスケジュールを日本語解説付きで掲載。また、クラシファイド広告も情報量が多くて便利、と好評。

99年4月。ホームページ「インターネット・ジャーニー」をスタート。

2000年6月。「月刊」を「週刊」と同じサイズに拡大（「月刊」はフルカラーのまま）。毎月第一木曜日発行の「週刊」に合体させ「ウルトラ・ジャーニー」という名に改称、配布を開始。



November 1987 - company established by the travel agency EURO JAPAN HOLIDAYS LTD to facilitate sales promotions.

July 1988 - began publishing MONTHLY JOURNEY as a general lifestyle magazine for Japanese people living in the UK. Although it was called JOURNEY, its contents were not restricted to travel topics.

March 1998 - began publishing WEEKLY JOURNEY in rivalry with competitor EIKOKU NEWS DIGEST which boasted over 15 years' history in the UK. WEEKLY JOURNEY instantly became a firm favourite with readers, with its pages packed full of the latest Japanese news, gossip and headlines from the Fuji Sankei Group, as well as weekly London TV schedules in Japanese, and a classified advertisement section.

April 1999 - set up website INTERNET JOURNEY

June 2000 - MONTHLY JOURNEY was renamed ULTRA JOURNEY to reflect the combined issue with WEEKLY JOURNEY the first Thursday of every month.
